Supercars for Superkids
Once a year, a select group of individuals gather for a very worthwhile cause, offering a special opportunity to some very special kids.
Supercars for Superkids is the chance for a few terminally ill patients to experience the thrill of riding in a dream car. The cars participating would make anyone’s most desirable list, and include legendary names like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren and Aston Martin. The owners are all private individuals who give their time and offer their cars free.
With the help of a police escort, the short route is opened up to give the drivers and their passengers a chance to experience the thrill of driving a fast, rare car. This year, that route ran from Johannesburg’s Bryanston Shopping Centre to Hyde Park and back. It was a special day not only for the kids in the passenger seat, but any road users who happened to see the passing parade. Below are just a few of the images from the day – we’re pretty sure you’ll enjoy them as almost as much as the kids enjoyed their rides!
